Edna Laura Morales was born on July 4, 1936 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
As a young bride, she moved to New York with her husband Richard Rodriguez. A few years later, they moved to Fort Lauderdale and it was there in 1968 where their son Johnny was born.
In 1972 they moved to San Jose California.
In 1978 as a single mother, she met Richard Aguilar. They married on August 5, 1983 and remained in San Jose until August 13, 2000 when they bought their forever home at Sun City Lincoln Hills.
Edna studied in New York to be a keypunch operator. In California, she worked for Allstate Insurance Company as a key punch operator for claims. When they became computerized, she moved to the Milpitas office to further her career. She retired after 20 years.
Richard and Edna enjoyed their retirement in Lincoln Hills for the last 24 years. They cherished time with their three granddaughters, enjoyed the amenities in their neighborhood, and made many friends along the way.
Edna is survived by her husband Richard Aguilar, her son Johnny Rodriguez (Lori Rodriguez), her stepdaughter, Cathy Gibbs (Jeff Gibbs), her stepson, Gabriel Aguilar (Josephina Aguilar), her granddaughters Kianna Lilley, Serena Aguilar, and Brianna Aguilar.
